What a sworn translation is
It is a translation accompanied by a sworn statement in which the translator certifies that it is faithful to the original. The oath is taken before the Court clerk. It is the form required by the Questura, Prefettura, municipality and embassies for foreign documents.
Documents we translate
- Birth, marriage and divorce certificates, family status certificates
- Criminal record and pending charges certificates
- Qualifications, diplomas and driving licences
- Documents for citizenship, family reunification and residence permits
We work in particular on documents from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Senegal, into and from Italian.
Legalisation and apostille
Before translation, a foreign document must normally be legalised by the Italian embassy or bear an apostille, depending on the issuing country. We will tell you the correct procedure for your document.
What to bring
- Original document, already legalised or apostilled if required
- The office the translation is intended for
- Applicant's identity document
